Food is our the most important intake and should be eaten with a lot of mindfulness, what I mean is that you should be focused on the food that you eat/drink. Enjoy the taste / the texture / the colour / the fragrance and the vision of the food that you eat/drink. Eat the same with an emotion of gratitude and prayer in your mind.
The food that you eat, gets digested through your digestive system and nutrients such as proteins, fats, carbohydrates etc. are extracted from the food and distributed to the various parts of the body to keep the whole body functioning efficiently. The food that you eat reflects in your persona.
Hence it is appropriately said – You are What you eat. While it is true, but I feel that inputs from the other senses i.e vision, hearing, fragrance and touch, also gets reflected in you.
